YOUR STARTING POINT

Is this the right
next step?

A one-off competitive review can quickly fall behind. Changes to competitor products, positioning, pricing and campaigns need to be interpreted and fed back into marketing and sales.

For B2B SaaS teams with a defined market and an agreed competitor set that need a regular, practical view of relevant changes. Start with an existing competitive framework or a Competitive Positioning & Battlecards Sprint.

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

Stay informed.
Keep your advantage clear.

Retained support with an agreed monthly scope, capacity, fee and review rhythm. Any minimum commitment, notice period and treatment of unused capacity are confirmed before starting.

  1. Agreed competitor monitoring

Track the named competitors and agreed public sources for relevant product, messaging, pricing, campaign and market developments. Coverage and monitoring frequency are defined in the brief.

  2. Regular insight briefing

Summarise significant changes, source evidence and implications for your positioning, campaigns or sales conversations at the agreed reporting cadence.

  3. Battlecard and messaging updates

Maintain the agreed set of battlecards or competitive guidance within the monthly allocation, with clear distinctions between sourced facts and interpretation.

  4. Review and recommendations

Discuss what the changes mean, identify priorities and agree practical actions for the next cycle.

A CLEAR SCOPE

What we need.
What’s included.

What we’ll need from you

An agreed competitor list, priority markets and products, existing positioning and battlecards, access to relevant internal feedback and a named reviewer for decisions and approvals.

Scope boundaries

A monthly retainer with named competitors, public sources, monitoring frequency, briefing cadence, update quantities and monthly capacity agreed before starting. Paid research tools or subscriptions, primary research, win/loss interviews and a complete positioning rebuild are separately scoped. Monthly fees, review points, any minimum commitment, notice arrangements and treatment of unused capacity are confirmed in the engagement terms. Additional work is agreed separately.

PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before
we start.

Which competitors will you monitor?

We agree a named competitor set and priority topics before starting. Coverage is bounded by that scope and the sources available.

Is this real-time monitoring?

Monitoring and reporting follow an agreed cadence. Continuous alerts, urgent briefings and out-of-hours response are included only if explicitly agreed.

Will you update our battlecards?

Yes, where included in the monthly scope. We agree which materials, update quantities and review process are covered. A first set can be created through the Competitive Positioning & Battlecards Sprint.

Can we start with a one-off review?

Yes. The Competitive Positioning & Battlecards Sprint can establish the baseline before a retainer keeps the insight and materials current.

How is retained support agreed?

Retained support with an agreed monthly scope, capacity, fee and review rhythm. Any minimum commitment, notice period and treatment of unused capacity are confirmed before starting.
