What’s on
Live music, quizzes, themed nights and community events worth putting in the diary.
Affordable marketing plans and regular social communications for independent pubs, bars and hospitality businesses.
From a former pub licensee who understands the pressures of running a venue. Start with a low-cost retainer built around an agreed pack of hours per week.

Ian has been a pub licensee himself and has successfully driven trade. His experience comes from running a hospitality business as well as providing marketing support to others.
He understands the pressure of keeping customers coming through the door while staffing, energy, stock and other running costs squeeze already tight margins. A busy venue takes work—and more sales need to make a worthwhile contribution to the business.
That’s why the focus is practical: give people reasons to visit, encourage them to return and keep your venue visible, through marketing support that respects your budget and your time.

Social Communications Retainer

Channel setup or a profile refresh can form the opening phase, with the work and fee agreed upfront.
Discuss social communications ↗Marketing & Promotion Retainer
For venues that want a practical marketing plan and continuing help deciding what to promote, to whom and when. Agree a weekly pack of hours that balances planning with hands-on promotion.
Planning and any initial channel setup form the opening phase. We agree what is included before starting.
Discuss marketing & promotion ↗Your weekly hours pack and monthly retainer fee are agreed upfront, with a clear explanation of how weekly hours translate into the monthly allocation. Deliverables are prioritised to fit that time. We also agree any initial setup fee, minimum commitment, review points, notice arrangements and treatment of unused hours. Extra hours or costs require agreement before the work starts.
How retained support works →When margins are under pressure, marketing has to earn its place in the budget. The aim is to give small operators a cost-effective way to keep promoting their business, without taking on more support than they need.
Agree an affordable amount of time for your venue, the priorities it will cover and a clear monthly fee.
Put the available hours into the stories, events and promotions most relevant to your audience and trading priorities.
Look at the activity and available results together. Increase capacity only by agreement when the work and budget justify it.
You’ll know what is covered, what we need from you and when approvals are due.
We agree a pack of hours per week and the corresponding monthly retainer fee before starting. The agreement explains the monthly allocation, what the time covers—including planning, writing, approvals and reporting—and how hours are recorded. Work is prioritised within that allocation; a pack of hours does not mean unlimited posts or channel coverage.
Yes. Low starting retainers are designed to make support accessible to small independent operators. We agree a focused starting scope and the weekly hours it needs, rather than spreading a limited budget across too many activities. Your actual fee and any setup costs are confirmed upfront.
Extra hours, a larger pack or a change of scope are agreed before additional work begins. We also confirm how unused hours are treated, review dates, any minimum commitment and notice arrangements in your agreement.
A named contact, regular updates about the business, accurate event and offer details, suitable photographs and timely content approval. We agree a realistic check-in and approval timetable around your team.
We agree the channels that suit your venue and audience, along with the monthly number of posts, formats and reporting. Setup and access arrangements are agreed before publishing starts.
The core programme can use photographs and video supplied by your team. On-site visits, photography, video production or specialist design are included only where explicitly agreed, with any travel or production fees confirmed upfront.
Community replies, private messages, booking enquiries and escalation rules are separately agreed. We confirm who responds, during which hours and what should go back to your venue team. Out-of-hours or crisis support is not assumed.
Yes. We can plan and communicate agreed events and promotions. Your team confirms the details, availability, terms and operational arrangements. Paid advertising, ad spend, print and third-party costs are separately scoped.
We agree useful measures for the activity, such as engagement, website or booking-link visits and enquiries where tracking is available. We review these alongside your feedback about attendance or bookings. Social activity does not guarantee footfall or sales.
